Swimming Lessons Costs:
Level Salamander - 4 $65.00
Level 5 - 10 $70.00

Life Guarding Courses:

National Lifeguard Instructor Course: Call or email 204-385-2332 or to register

National Lifeguard is the industry standard for professional lifeguards in Canada.

National Lifeguard training develops a sound understanding of lifeguarding principles, good judgment, and a mature and responsible attitude towards the lifeguard’s role. National Lifeguard training emphasizes prevention and effective rescue response in emergencies including first aid treatment. The Lifesaving Society trains all of Canada’s National Lifeguards.

Prerequisites: minimum 15 years of age by start of the course, Bronze Cross, and Standard First Aid* or Aquatic Emergency Care.

Tuesday, June 14th- Virtual course over zoom from 5:00pm-9:00pm

Saturday, June 18th- In Gladstone from 10:00am-6:30pm

Sunday, June 19th- In Gladstone from 10:00am-6:30pm

Thursday, June 23rd- Virtual course over zoom from 5:00pm- 9:00pm

Saturday, June 25th- In Gladstone from 9:00 am-5:30pm 

Sunday, June 26th - In Gladstone from 9:00 am-5:30pm

Cost: $250.00

Red Cross Lifeguard Transfer Course & National Lifeguard Recert Course:

Fun in the Sun Day Camp runs from July 4th- August 31st, 2022, 9:00 AM to 4:00PM tentatively in:

Gladstone (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday)

Plumas  (Thursday) 

Children from the ages of 5-12 are welcome to attend. Ensuring the health and well-being of your children is our number one priority. Organized days full of a variety of games, crafts, and activities.

Please bring a peanut free lunch and snacks. Themes of the weeks will be posted in the near feature.

  • Coming soon – Online Swim Transition Instructor Clinic Red Cross Water Safety Instructors will soon be able to transition to the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life Instructor certification by completing the Society’s official online Swim Transition Instructor Clinic – approved by the Lifesaving Society Canada and endorsed by the Canadian Red Cross (CRC). The self-directed Swim Transition Instructor Clinic provides an orientation to the Society’s Swim for Life program. It is designed exclusively for CRC Water Safety Instructors who want to take advantage of the opportunity to transition to Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life Instructor certification. Completing this online clinic is one of two required steps to become a certified Lifesaving Society Swim for Life Instructor. The other step is to ensure the Lifesaving Society has your CRC Water Safety qualifications. If you have not already done so, log in to your My Red Cross account to initiate this transfer.
